[Step 1] Set Up First MFA Information

To begin, please register your first MFA information (additional identity verification required when signing in).
You can choose MFA information from the following list. Each has a different setup process, so please follow the instructions on the linked pages.

◆ Recommended: Microsoft Authenticator (Mobile)

Push Notifications (Online Required)
You can authenticate by approving a notification sent to your mobile device. This method offers strong security, as notifications are also triggered in case of unauthorized access attempts.
Verification Codes (Works Offline)
Please use the 6-digit verification code displayed in the app.
It can be used even in environments where internet access is limited, such as overseas or on an airplane.
Note: Authentication may fail if your device’s time is not accurate.

Browser extension for PC / Desktop app

These apps use 6-digit codes for verification.

Phone Number Verification

Receive a verification code via SMS or voice call

To prepare for situations where your registered device is lost, broken, or unavailable, please register a backup MFA information on the next page: [Step2: Set Up Your Second MFA Information]. We recommend setting up the authentication app on both your mobile device and your PC’s browser.

In case the method registered in [Step 1: Set Up First MFA Information] becomes unavailable due to device failure or other reasons, please make sure to register at least two pieces of identity verification information (MFA information). As in Step 1, you can choose MFA information from the following list.

Examples of MFA Information Combinations

If you have a smartphone:
- Authenticator app (mobile device)

In our Microsoft 365 environment, simply registering MFA information does not protect your account; enabling MFA is necessary.

Once you have registered your MFA information in Step 1 and Step 2, the final step is to enable MFA.
Please review all items in the checklist below, then submit the form via the link to complete the MFA activation process.

Pre-Activation Checklist

I have registered multiple MFA information in case a registered device is lost or damaged.
I will activate MFA during weekday hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) when possible to ensure support is available.

Enabling Microsoft 365 Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

After enabling MFA, you may be required to sign in again on websites or apps where you were previously signed in to Microsoft 365. Additionally, if you are using Power Automate flows or Power Apps that connect to services like Forms or SharePoint, those connections may be temporarily disrupted immediately after activation.Once registering your MFA information is complete, please re-sign in and reconfigure any necessary connections.
