5. Phone Number Setup for Sign-in Issues
If you are unable to sign in to Microsoft 365 because you don’t have access to the device or PC where your MFA information is registered, please use the link below to add a phone number to your MFA information. Add a Phone Number to Your MFA Information

Examples of such situations include:
- You changed your registered device
- Your registered device is broken or lost
- You don’t have access to your registered device, PC, or phone but need to sign in
Notes:
- For student accounts, this service is only available on campus.
- Access from outside the university requires the matrix password from your IC staff ID card (QMAX).
- There is no callback verification for the phone number, so please make sure to enter it correctly.
- If this is your first time registering your MFA information, or still have access to the device or PC registered your MFA information, , please refer to the link below and follow the standard procedure to update or add your MFA information.
