Q&A

Can I use my organization’s address as the sender’s address?

Yes, you can. If you are using email software, please change the sender setting in Thunderbird or MacMail. (outlook is not allowed)

In the case of webmail of the Kyushu University Primary mail, click on “…” at the top of the sending screen, click on “Show Sender”, and then click on “Sender” to select your organization’s address.
However, if you want to use an address other than the basic address, you need to perform this operation every time.

If I don’t have a Kyushu University Primary mail address, can I forward messages from my organizational address to an off-campus address?

Yes, you can forward your messages by setting the address in the system.
However, please use an off-campus mail system for sending.

I want to create a mailing list for a small unit within my organization, such as a lab or project. Can I use the “Organization Use Service” for this?

No, you cannot.
The Organization Use Service is a mechanism for receiving all emails addressed to your organization’s domain in bulk. It is not a service intended for creating mailing lists for small groups like labs, teams, or projects.
Therefore, it cannot be used to create mailing lists for such units.

I heard some departments use the Organizational Use Service. Is there a way for our lab to use it?

It may be possible depending on the conditions.
If a department is already using the Organizational Use Service at the departmental level, we can introduce you to the responsible staff member. Please consult with them to see if usage is possible within their operational scope.
*Availability and operational details are determined by each department.
