Microsoft Copilot

Overview

Members of our university (students, faculty, and staff) can use “Microsoft Copilot (formerly known as Bing Chat Enterprise).” Microsoft Copilot is a generative AI chat service that utilizes models such as GPT-4 and DALL-E3.

By signing in with your university Microsoft 365 account (SSO-KID), Enterprise Data Protection is applied. Conversation data entered while using the service is not used to train generative AI models.

How to Use

  1. Access https://m365.cloud.microsoft/. If you are prompted to sign in, sign in with your University account (Reference: Sign-in Manual).
  2. If a banner is displayed at the top, check its contents and click the X to close it.
  3. If you see a [Sign in] button at the top right, click it, then click [Continue with Microsoft] and sign in (Reference: Sign-in Manual). If the [Sign in] button is not clickable, refresh the page by reloading the browser.

  4. Click the [Work].
    Select a usage category
  5. After signing in, “Enterprise data protection” icon will be displayed at the top right.

  6. Enter your question and click the [→] button.

If “Enterprise data protection” is not displayed, you are not using it with the university account, and the Enterprise data protection feature is not enabled. Please be aware.

Notes

  • To avoid the risk of information leakage, do not enter sensitive information.
  • Please handle the generated information with due care to ensure the accuracy of the text, copyright protection, etc.
  • “Microsoft Copilot” is different from “Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365.” It does not integrate AI features into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
