Other Authentication Apps (e.g. Google Authenticator)

Other authentication apps include “Google Authenticator” and “Authy.” Below is the procedure for “Google Authenticator”.

1. (On a smartphone or tablet) Download and install “Google Authenticator” from Google Play for Android devices or from the App Store for iOS devices.
2. (On a PC) Click “I want to use a different authenticator app."
   
3. Click “Next."
   
4. The QR code will be displayed.
   
5. (On a smartphone or tablet) Open the “Google Authenticator” installed on your smartphone or another device.
   
6. Tap “BEGIN SETUP,” then tap “Scan barcode”. If you are asked for camera access, allow it.
   
7. When the “Scan Barcode” screen appears, scan the QR Code shown in Step 4. on your PC’s browser.
8. Your account will be registered and a 6-digit one-time password will be displayed.
   
9. (On a PC) Click “Next”.
   
10. Enter the 6-digit one-time password displayed in Step 8. in the “Enter Code” field, and then click “Next."
    
11. “Authenticator app” will be registered in the security information list.
