4.Manage MFA Settings (Add, Remove, Device Replacement, etc.)

MFA authentication methods (such as adding, changing, or deleting methods) can be managed from the page below:

Open the Security Info Page

https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info  *If MFA is already registered, you may be prompted to enter a verification code or similar information. Please follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.

What You Can Do

Add authentication methods

You can add new authentication methods (e.g., authenticator app, phone number)

Delete authentication methods

You can remove authentication methods that are no longer needed.

Set the default authentication method

You can change the method that is used by default when signing in.

Change your phone number

You can update the phone number used for SMS or voice call authentication.


For Users Planning to Change Their Smartphone (Device Replacement)

Before switching to a new device, please complete the following steps in advance:

  1. Install Microsoft Authenticator on your new device
  2. Open the Security Info page and select “Add authentication method” to register the new device
  3. Confirm that you can successfully authenticate using the new device
  4. Remove the old device information that is no longer needed

If you have already changed your device and cannot sign in, please refer to the “Troubleshooting” section.
