Failure to forward email messages (restored)

(5/28 9:00 updated) Emails that failed to be forwarded due to the failure of automatic email forwarding in Exchange Online that occurred between 17:00 and 22:30 on Wednesday, May 26, are being resent by Microsoft from around 11:30 on May 27.

(5/26 23:30 updated) From 17:00 to 22:30 on May 26 (Wed), Exchange Online had an issue where users were unable to forward mail messages. During this period, if you set up forwarding of incoming messages for your primary mail address and received a message, an error message was returned to the sender due to the forwarding failure. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

(5/26 20:30 published) Since around 19:00 on Wednesday, May 26, Exchange Online has an issue where users are unable to forward email messages. If you set up forwarding of incoming messages for your primary mail address and receive a message, an error message will be returned to the sender due to the forwarding failure. Microsoft is working to fix the problem, but currently the estimated time to recovery is unknown. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
