Temporary suspension of basic authentication for Kyushu University Primary Mail Service (5/31 (Tue.) 9:00 - 13:00 and 6/1 (Wed.) 13:00 - 17:00)
Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation in
the operations of the Information Infrastructure Initiative.
The contents of this e-mail are not relevant to those who have already
responded to the above-mentioned matter, or those who have been
sending and receiving e-mail using webmail.
In the notices to members (dated November 18, 2021 and February 24, 2022)
and the round-table meetings with directors and department heads
(held on March 17, 2021 and May 19, 2022), we have requested those who
are using the Kyushu University Primary Mail Service with e-mail applications
(Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) to change their settings in response to
the specification change of e-mail service scheduled
by Microsoft Corporation (to be implemented on October 1, 2022).
If you do not have these settings, you will not be able to send and receive
e-mail after October 1, 2022. Therefore, please check and change the settings
of your terminal (PC, smartphone, etc.) with reference to the following.
- Manual for checking and changing settings (Outlook application, macOS
standard mail application, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.)

From 9:00 to 13:00 on May 31 (Tue), 2022, and from 13:00 to 17:00 on
June 1 (Wed), 2022, we will temporarily change our environment to
the same configuration after Microsoft’s specification change.
Please check if you can send and receive e-mails at that time.
If you are unable to send or receive e-mail during this period,
it is highly likely that your terminal settings are not compatible
with the changes in e-mail service specifications scheduled by Microsoft.
