Failure to set up accounts in POP and receive mail in POP for basic authentication(restored)

The problem that some users had been experiencing since around 12:00 on June 6 (Mon.), which prevented them from setting up new accounts in POP for Kyushu University Primary Mail accounts and from receiving email in POP for basic authentication, has now been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.


On Monday, June 6, from around 12:00 pm, some users have been unable to set up accounts in POP for the Kyushu University Primary Mail account and to receive mail in POP for basic authentication.This problem also affects users who have set up the Kyushu University Primary Mail account in Gmail to receive emails.

If you are unable to receive email due to this impact, please use the following two methods.

  1. add an Exchange account to your mail application. Please refer to the manual to add an Exchange account to your mail application. The manual is available on the following page

  1. Use WebMail to send and receive email. You can send and receive email by signing in to WebMail at the following URL. Signing in is all that is required to use this service, and no configuration is necessary.
